this is from an anti war demo we were in. There was a Labour conference there, and as Tony Blair is Labour and he made the decision about going to war, we wanted to show him what we thought!"Tony Blair, you are scum, you took money from my mom and you spend it on this bloody war, we don't want you anymore"
I watched this documentary about India and its nuclear weapons program. It stated that
A) The amount of money they spend on building one nuclear submarine would be anough to upkeep ALL Indian schools for a year.
B) The amount of money they spend on one missile would be enough for building FIFTY-TWO new healt centers, or giving dozens of little villages access to clean water!
I mean, there are so many poor and rejected people in America and Britain as well. How dare their governments agree on something that will overrule people's right to live!?!?!?
go to http://www.banthebomb.orgBefore the G8 I was in this "question time" type of thing where the British foreign secretary Jack Straw was replying to people's questions. I asked one about the G8. I wanted to know what exactly were those 8 nations' plans and how were they going to achieve their goals before time ran out. He couldn't answer my question. Oh well, he's a politician. Politicians don't answer questions. They just talk and talk..and the more they talk, the more confused we are about what exactly they are trying to speak out about. We might think they're clever, more than we are, and therefore better at doing the job of representing us, but they're not. The only thing they do is representing themselves, trying to achieve their own goals, not those of the nation. If all politicians in the world wanted to make the world a better place to live in, they would have done it already. They're the ones with power and money. But I guess, when you get power and money you suddenly realise you never had enough of them and that you never CAN have enough of them.
HELLO TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS!!! YOU'RE COOL! haha, and I'm really tired so forgive me and my madness.
We went to see Dark Water two days ago with my brother, one of my good friends Eeva, and her bfriend Pete who's also really cool. It wasn't a very good film. It was well-made and I liked the atmosphere and colours. Also the acting and beginning of the film were good. However, especially the ending was crap! And the whole story was a bit naive. As Pete said, if the house REALLY REALLY looked like that when you went to see it, would you move in??? I wouldn't. Unless I secretly wanted to live in a hounted house - which I do.
Me and my friend Anna watched two episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer last night. It's surprisingly entertaining, I never used to watch it before cause I thought it was rubbish, but now I actually like it! lol. It's quite humorous really, and the characters are cute once you learn to know them. I also went to the gym with Eeva and we did PACE, which is really boring but effective!
My friends Sean and Kevin are visiting me from Scotland. They arrived this morning and I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was so nervous. I had to wake up early and I thought I was going to miss the whole thing, or that I...well, I was worried about nothing really. But I always become like that when something exciting or scary is about to happen the next day. I just can't sleep! Now they're sleeping and I'm tired as hell. What can you do? Why am I not asleep like sensible people would be? Anyway, I haven't planned a lot of what we are going to do during their stay in here. I thought we could have visited our summer cottage but it's not possible because of the non-existence of public transport tomorrow morning. Blah! Tomorrow night we're going out and before that we're going to drink at Eeva'sflat.
I've decided to look up pictures every time I write(without copyright issues involved) from Google, and put them here next to each other. As I'm often a negative person with a positive attitude(is it possible?), I've decided to show one horrble and one beautiful pic from the world every time. Here they are this time:

What on Earth could we do with the money we spend on bombs? You don't have to be too smart to figure it out. Then why haven't those in power figured it out yet? The G8 was a big, fat joke, and those eight leaders amongst others are going to continue spending our tax money on warfare and weaponry - with what costs?

Your friends seem to have bad luck coming to Finland right now when the weather is the worst in a long time. It's raining all the bloody time. Anyway, how long are they planning on staying?
